State Representatives are eligible to participate in the Grafton County government. In both terms I served on the Executive Committee.

In 3 of the 4 years, we have been able to keep the budget in place without any increases in property taxes (in actual numbers, not tax rates).

I served as Clerk of the Executive Committee for one two-year term. Among accomplishments:

• Restructured the County’s charity support to target needed services that were associated with county services, for example services that reduce recividisms or kept residents at home instead of needing nursing home services.
• Emphasized the need to bring in more residents. This lead to the $5/hour increase in nurse pay. This lead to less reliance on very expansive travelling nurses and increase utilization by over 20% in one year.
